-

|

- 12-point Times New Roman,
- 11-point Georgia,

- Include a page header (also known as a "running head") at the top of every page. This includes your paper title and the page number, but for student papers, only include the page number. The header should be flush to the right side, and contain no more than 50 characters, including spaces and punctuation.
- For instructions on how to create a header, see this link.
- include a Title Page, Abstract, Main Body, and a Reference List.
- Although an Abstract is not required for a student paper, so do ask your instructor if you are unsure to include an it in your paper. (Abstracts are one paragraph summaries of the paper/article.)
- Always use hanging indents on your Reference List citations. If a citation is longer than a single line, make sure to indent (or tab in) a half inch for every line after the first line. The top line of the citation should be left "hanging."
- APA recommends all sources, regardless of format, are cited using the core elements in this order, whenever possible: Author last name then first initial., (date of publication). title of source. title of container, volume(issue/number), publisher. page numbers. DOI
